Select which subject you would like to study and then choose a question which appeals to you.
Write an essay of between 1200 and 1700 words in length. Send it to me via e-mail to Richard Lee.
I will read your essay and then send back to you with my comments as a means of assisting you
towards improving your understanding the subject you have chosen.
When you write an essay it is important for you to do some reading on the subject. Student notes and CD recordings of all lectures will be sent to you. However, it is expected that you will undertake additional reading to enhance your research.
I am aware that, for many of you, the writing of essays is something new and may appear
daunting. We have all had to begin somewhere, so I am including some guidance in the
writing of essays. The best way to learn how to write an essay is simply the
practice of writing essays! You will soon learn how to write an essay, and I guarantee that
your understanding of these four main subjects will increase rapidly. Remember,
"We learn more by doing than stewing".
